Formby Festival 2026 is cancelled.
The Festival was cancelled in 2025 due to unforeseen circumstances and ill health, but plans had been under way for 2026. However, it has become unviable due to the rise in the cost of living, and recent energy uncertainty brought about by the war in Iran. We have always tried to keep prices as low as possible, but estimated costs are now too great.
Increased charges from suppliers, such as for generator fuel, hire of equipment and delivery, have impacted significantly on projections – we do no know when this uncertainty might end, and in any case suppliers must be booked months in advance.
Formby Festival’s volunteers would like to run the event in 2027, which would be the 15th year! The 2027 Formby Festival is planned to take place on 16th, 17th and 18th July 2027.
